Reflexology is a holistic technique that can help alleviate headaches and other ailments. Similar to acupuncture, it focuses on applying pressure to specific points on the body—but unlike acupuncture, it does not require needles, only your hands.

While scientific research is limited, many people—and some doctors—agree that reflexology may help reduce headaches and mild discomfort. Here are 7 reflexology points you can try:

1. Temples

Place your thumbs on your temples and gently massage in counterclockwise motions for at least one minute to relieve tension and headaches.

2. Third Eye Point

Located between your eyebrows at the bridge of your nose, pressing this point may improve concentration and relieve migraines.

3. Inside of Eyebrows

Gently massage the ends of your eyebrows above the bridge of your nose with your index fingers for 30 seconds. Avoid pressing too hard, as this may worsen the headache.

4. Webbing Between Thumb and Index Finger

Squeeze the webbing lightly and move toward the bone at the end of the webbing. Apply pressure for 1 minute on each hand to help ease headache pain.

5. Big Toes

Try massaging the bottom of your big toes or the space between the big toe and second toe. Both areas may help relieve headache discomfort.

6. Welcome Fragrance

These points are located beside each nostril. Pressing them can help open the sinuses and relieve tension headaches.

7. Back of Neck (Shoulder Well)

Located in the middle of the back of your neck along the neck bridge, pressing these points can release tension in the neck and shoulders, a common cause of headaches.

By using these reflexology points, you may find natural relief from headaches. Next time a headache appears, try applying pressure to these areas—your head will thank you.
