Earaches are among the most uncomfortable pains you can experience. If you’ve been struggling to find a solution, these 5 home remedies could bring the relief you need—using ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen!
1. Onion
Extract the juice from a fresh onion and gently warm it. Place a few drops into the affected ear and lie on the opposite side for 5–10 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water afterward. Repeat this treatment twice a day for best results.
2. Tea Tree and Peppermint Oil
Mix 3 drops of tea tree oil and 3 drops of peppermint oil into 60 ml of olive oil. Place a few drops in the ear, lie on the opposite side for 15–20 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. These oils help reduce inflammation and fight infection naturally.
3. Coconut Oil
Warm a small amount of coconut oil and put a few drops in the aching ear. Lie on the opposite side for 5–10 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. Coconut oil is soothing and antibacterial.
4. Garlic Oil
Ingredients:
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 120 ml olive oil
- 20 drops eucalyptus essential oil
Cook the garlic and olive oil together on very low heat for 8 hours. Strain the mixture and press the garlic to extract any remaining liquid. Stir in the eucalyptus oil.
